Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

I just celebrated my 45th Birthday on July 19, of this years. I thought this was really a milestone in my life to write about. I remember celebrating this age when my parents turned this age, and now it my turn! Hum...I believe I was 23 years old when my mother and dad turn 45 years old. I was single, and living a carefree life, no concerns about what the future hold. Who I was going to marry? How many children I was planning to have? Where I would be living 22 years from now?

I was enjoying my single life at the age of 23 year old. Now I have been tremendous blessed to live to see 45 years old. I have experienced many ups and downs in my life, but I tell servicing a true and living saviour made up for the bad!

I just wanted to take to time out and Thanks God That I am Still here!

Be Blessed!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all deserving fathers! Especially to my dad,he was the most hard working gentleman I have ever known. My dad made sure that his family was fed, clothed and had shelter. He was the bread winner of the family, he allowed my mother the opportunity to remain home to oversee the household. God has bless my dad to married to my mother for 44 years!

Dad was an entrepreneur , he sold produce, ice cream cones, and candy from the side of mobile business on wheel. He also was a self-employed roofer, my brothers did the harder work (roofing), and being out the hot weather 247, while the girls did the more softer office work, answering the telephone, writing proposals for my dad business. We were very young when learning how to operate an office. My dad had the best roofer and office pool ever!

Last but not least, my dad is also a well season dynamic Pastor along with his wife Elect 1st Lady Thomas, his sermons are just as powerful as they were when I was growing up listening to him while attending church. I thank God for allowing me to be his daughter, I gained wisdom and strength from him and my mother.

I thank him for being the father God placed in my life, "For Such A Time As This".

Happy Mother's Day

I want to say "Happy Mother's Day", and would like to especially dedicate this month's blog to my mother she is a wonderful woman. My mother is a very caring and loving woman. God blessed her to raised eight wonderful children. I know this task was not easy, but God gave her grace. My mother has been married to my dad 46 years.

My mother's covering, which was my dad allowed her to be a stay at home mother. Now of course she was not called a stay at home mom years ago. They were called housewives, and since my mother was from the old school she was a chaste keeper at home. She taught us domestic things, as keeping the home clean, and there was never a time dust accumulated inside her home. She made sure chores were assigned to each of us.

My mother was and still is great cook! I would love to come home from school, and I knew she would be in the kitchen whipping up a great meal for the family. I remembers the Sunday's after church, she would cook a pot roast for Sunday supper, and boy were they good! She would have potato salad, 7up Pound Cake with sugar glazed icing, and a vegetable.

I never forget the many night she sit up with her sick children, never complaining about her task! Mother did not even think of herself at times, she only thought of how she was going to provide for her husband and family.

Mother was the disciplinary of the family! When any of us would stray in the wrong direction, she would always correct us with words, or she used the rod of correction.

I love my mother so much, she has a beautiful spirit, and a loving kind spirit. That is why I raise up to call her blessed!

I love you Rosie for the things you've pour into my life! You are a Blessed woman of God!

The Ultimate Sacrifice

As of March 1, 2006, I decided to sacrifice and participate in Lent this year, my sacrifice was giving up all meats except fish, of course in the beginning I started out with my sister-in-law, I was thinking she was going to finish the commitment before me, because she always participated in lent every year. My sister-in-law would give up eating ice from the beginning of lent until Easter Sunday. But to my surprise she gave in by accident to temptation and starting back eating ice, but I on the other hand, I have been prayerfully successful with the cause. I really thought I would have given in sooner to temptation to smelling the cooked meat, that my husband would cook, but I remembered the commitment I had made. It takes prayerful will power when you set your mind to achieve the spiritual goals you set for yourself.

As I reflect on the this month I thought about what if our Lord and Saviour accidentally failed the ultimate test, and decided he did not want to die for the sins of the people? This individual was the one turning water into wine, giving sight to the blind, the lame to walk, and bringing life to the dead. With all the power Jesus had he could have spoken the cross out of existence, but he did not! Jesus did the ultimate he sacrifice his life that I, you, everyone will have the right to the tree of life.

It does not matter what you decide to give up, it the reward at the end of the sacrifice that matters! I did not have to wait until Lent to see if I could truly commit to giving up certain meats. But it brought new meaning to me to think about how our Savior sacrifice his life for all of us. I could just imagine when Jesus went, into Gethsemane to pray, the scriptures stated that "he was sore amazed and to be very heavy". Jesus spoke "And saith unto them, my soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death; tarry ye here and watch" (he was speaking to the disciplines he had taken along with him), but they did not watch, they fell asleep! And it said the Jesus went away, and prayed "Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt". Because of the what he knew he had to do for man, It touch me so, to know that the human emotion that erupted from his spirit. The agony of his knowing the fate that lies before him, would be hard for me to bear! But he did it! Jesus sacrifice his life for our liberty!

What do you need to sacrifice? Is it a Drug addiction, alcohol addiction, Food addiction, hate, or the love of money, just to name a few? I know my sacrifice giving up certain meats, might sound easy to you, but it was not! So think about some of the things that you could sacrifice for Christ!

Mark 14:32 - 36 - 32. "And they came to a place which was named Gethesemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.

33. And he taketh with him Peter and James and john, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy.

34. And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.

35. And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.

36. And he said, Abba, Father all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will but what thou wilt.

Spring Clean Your Temple - Audio

this is an audio post - click to play

Spring Clean Your Temple

It is time to cast away all sorts of things out of the attic, closets, and garage. Why? It is March, which is usualy the time for Spring Cleaning! Do we as a society collect to much stuff, that it makes our Spring Cleaning impposible at time? My answer is yes!

Since I am a avid reader and writer I tend to have more books and paper around the house that I could surely purge! One of biggest issues is sorting clothes, trying to figure out which piece of clothing to put away from Fall/Winter selection, which clothes to pull out for Spring/Summer line. So I have to make an executive decision to just purge the clothing that I know we will not pull out again for Fall/Winter season!

I pull out the windex for the windows (and yes I do windows...)! Too complete my Spring Cleaning task, I then pull out the mop, bucket and pine-sol, I just feel if the home don't smell like pine it's just not clean! I wash the walls, window blinds, door, and I polish my wooden items. Nothing in the house is safe from Spring Cleaning!

*******

As we clean our earthly vessel, we must do the same with our spiritual temple (our body), there are things that may have been lingering long enough in your temple. It is time to Spring Clean your temple!

  • Ask yourself this question, what is preventing you to move into the giftings God has for you?
  • What can you do to prepare your temple for Christ to come in and sup with you?
  • Do you have cobweb?
  • Is your temple dusty?
  • Is your temple prepared to accept company?
Every day is a Spring Cleaning, always spot check your temple and make sure you do not store things in your temple that do not needs to be there!

Psalms 51: 2, 7, & 10 - "2. Wash me thouroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. 7. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. 10. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me."

No Greater L.O.V.E

February...this is the month of L.O.V.E! Roses, cards and boxes of candy will be delivered to someone that is greatly loved this year. My husband always surpise me with roses on my job, and I remember one year I sent him flowers on his job, he was some what embarrasses. I don't I guess that was too mucho, but who cares, he was someone I loved.

You can always tell someone you love them all day long, but love is more than words, it is showing love in deeds. So what will your love deed be this year? Will it be your neighbor, mom, dad, sister, or brother, or all! Love has no limits.

But remember there was no greater Love, than God who gave us his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

1 John 4:8 - "He that loveth not knowth not God, For God is Love!"
