The Many Hats That We Wear!

I have been tending to some motherly duties lately, and I have not had time to post each day as I had planned! However you know family comes first! You know the many hats that women wears, mother, wife, doctor, teacher, counseler, and many many more that I can continue to name. Do you remember a commerical saying "Calgon Take Me Away"? I have been in need of a "Calgon" moment lately. As a young single woman at the time I would hear this commerical, I did not really realized the meaning of the statement, but boy I know now! I take my hat off to all women, that are juggling multitask lifestyles, and especially our single moms.

On the spiritual side, just like we need a "Calgon" moment, we need and "God" moment. So set aside some time for spiritual meditation. If you feel unbalance use some quiet time to prioritze your to do list. If you have older children, teach them to take on some of your responsiblities. I have one child, but I am teaching him to cook, and clean the house. I always tell him you will some day have your own place, and you need to know these things when it is time for you move out.

So this is the time to reflect on how many hats you are wearing, write your list out, and you will be surprised on how multitask you are! The one person that comes to mind is the Virtuous Woman. We are similar to this woman of grace, she rose early to tend to her families needs, she sew, she wore fine linen, brought property, only to name a few. And the best part her family rosed and called her BLESSED!

Proverbs 31:10 - Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies!

Spiritual Health Watch

We are approaching the season for feasting, and this means everything on the plate will not be healthy for consumption. So be wise, watchful and prayerful of the types of food that are consumed. There are so many people in the US today that suffers with some form of diabetes, high blood pressure, and many more health issues that I am unable to name. It is going to be challenging for me because I do most of the cooking, and I am sure majority of the women will be cooking over the holidays, and you know what happens when you cook. You are constantly sampling your food (I know I do). So again, if you suffer with high blood pressure, or diabetes, please be sure you take your prescribed medicine regularly. Exercise daily by walking, and before starting any exercise program; always check first with your physician.

Remember our body is the temple of God. And we must maintain a healthy life style, to continue the work of our father. I believe and know our heavenly father wants our bodies healthy, that our souls shall prosper! And in your leisure please visit the follow sites http://www.healthywomen.org/, and http://www.4women.gov/.

3 John 1:2 - Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth!

Thanksgiving Month

We are now in the thanksgiving month of November. Families will be gathering together to give thanks to their heavenly Father, in their own way! This is a time to reflect on the previous months. The leaves have fallen from the trees, that will be replaced with new leaves next spring. There will be families gathering around the dinners tables to break bread, carving the turkey, dressing up the dressing with cranberry sauce, and there will be pies and cakes to choose from. However, this will still be a month of thanksgiving, blessing those without food, and shelter.

There will be laughter and there will be silence thoughts of sadness for those that have passed on. A visit to the nursing home, for those that are sometime forgotten.

This is a time to reflect and say Thanks!

1Timothy 4:4 - For every creature of God is good and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving!
